Meet the Heroes

Aranrius, a human bard, is the de facto captain of the Let’s Get Shipfaced! and takes his role as a support member for the party very seriously. He doesn’t often enter melee, but his rapier wit and talent for music enhance his allies and keep them going when it counts most. He is also teaching the crew’s parrot mascot to swear in a number of languages.
The half-human, half-drow Gorthos is as deadly as he is mysterious. This dark ninja prefers to strike from the shadows with his shuriken, but is equally lethal in direct hand-to-hand combat with his katana. His allies fight better knowing that he has their back.

Ghoven Morgan is the undine kineticist whose specialty is water, of course. His favorite tactic is misdirection, sending waves of water from unexpected angles to wash foes overboard. But he is equally proficient at projecting a solid blast capable of breaking bones, and he can surround himself with a shroud of protective water.
Blaidd (blaithe) Quinn is a kitsune cleric of Sarenrae, goddess of redemption, healing, and temperance, and she tempers her effectiveness in melee with her skill at healing her allies. Quick to move about the battlefield, this lithe shapechager is always where her aid is needed most.

Lucinda the Red is the newest member of the officer’s corps, having only recently been promoted from the ranks of the ship’s crew, but this half-elven swashbuckler has proven her worth already, being an invaluable melee combatant. Fast and deadly, her strikes bring low the foe.
The Story Thus Far…
Shanghaied into service aboard the Wormwood, a vessel belonging to the infamous Captain Barnabas Harrigan, the heroes began their careers as lowly deck swabs. They endured weeks of punishment and hard labor under the vile first mate, Mr. Plugg, and his lash. But fate was kind, and one prize they captured early on was the Man’s Promise. Harrigan assigned the heroes, along with a skeleton crew, to crew the new vessel under the command of Mr. Plugg.
Seizing an opportunity, the heroes mutinied and killed Plugg and several of his minions, taking the Man’s Promise for themselves. Putting in at a safe harbor, they refitted the vessel and rechristened her the Let’s Get Shipfaced!, now under their own command. For a time, they raided up and down the coasts, taking tributes from small villages and targeting merchant vessels. It soon became clear, however, that if they were to be taken seriously, they would need to do something about Harrigan and make themselves known.
Tidewater Rock was a small fortified islet that was well-known among pirate crews as being impregnable. “Cracking the Rock” would certainly make a name for oneself, so they set out to do just that. To their surprise, the Rock’s current Lady, Agasta Smythee, was looking for a husband. With a little prompting, Ghoven volunteered himself as tribute, and the two were wed, giving the crew control of Tidewater Rock.
Having cracked the Rock, the crew was called upon to defend the fortress against the incursion of one Isabella “Inkskin” Locke. They handily defeated Isabella and her raiders and discovered a treasure map tattooed upon her skin (thus giving her the nickname “Inkskin”). Following the map, they raided an underwater sahuagin lair and liberated some treasure found there.
They explored a mysterious island with an old Chelish fort and claimed it before making their way to Port Peril, where the self-proclaimed Hurricane King, Kerdak Bonefist, holds court. After being tested by the pirate crews (which they easily passed), they were determined to be worthy of being Free Captains of the Shackles. At a feast that evening, Kerdak Bonefist presented them with their letters of marque, identifying them as Free Captains.
They immediately declared shore leave for all crew and, while reveling at a local alehouse, they caught a glimpse of Caulky Tarroon, the cabingirl of Barnanbas Harrigan! Before they could give chase, the tavern erupted in a brawl, and Caulky was able to slip away in the confusion, but it’s a sure bet that Harrigan now knows what happened to his prize and his former first mate…
